Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager – AFR Incharge with 8 to 10 years of experience in AFR.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    1. AFR Operations & Mechanical Management- Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of AFR handling systems (shredders, conveyors, feeders, rotary valves, Walking floor, trommel etc). - Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for AFR equipment and HEMM. - Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain kiln stability. 2. AFR Quality & Process Control- Coordinate sampling and lab analysis for AFR calorific value, moisture, and contaminants. - Optimize AFR blending ratios to maintain kiln heat profile and clinker quality. - Monitor AFR feeding through DCS and adjust parameters for stable operation. 3. Safety & Compliance- Implement fire safety systems and hazard management protocols for AFR storage and feeding. - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain necessary permits. - Monitor emissions and report as per statutory requirements. 4. Logistics & Material Management- Manage AFR sourcing, vendor coordination, and transportation logistics. - Maintain inventory records and ensure proper storage conditions. - Track AFR usage and cost savings against targets. 5. Continuous Improvement- Drive projects to increase AFR substitution rate and reduce fossil fuel consumption. - Identify mechanical improvements for efficiency and reliability. - Support sustainability initiatives and ESG goals. 6. Cross-Functional Coordination- Work closely with process engineers, maintenance teams, safety officers, and procurement. - Provide technical support for AFR-related projects and audits. Key Stakeholders - Internal: Production Head Kiln Section Incharge Raw Material Incharge Key Stakeholders - External: Alternative fuel suppliers Environmental agencies Waste management companies

Qualifications and Experience


    - Education: B.E./B.Tech, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: 8–10 years in cement plant operations, preferably AFR handling. - Technical Skills: Mechanical systems design, maintenance planning, DCS/PLC familiarity. - Soft Skills: Problem-solving, coordination, safety awareness, cost optimization. Work Experience: - 8-10 years of experience in AFR. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):- AFR substitution rate (%) - Kiln stability and production efficiency - Equipment uptime and maintenance compliance - Emission levels and regulatory adherence - Cost savings achieved through AFR utilization
