Accounts Manager

The Accounts Manager in an NBFC is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company by managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, preparing financial reports, and supporting decision-making processes. The role requires strong knowledge of NBFC-specific accounting norms, RBI regulations, and financial reporting standards. Accounting & Financial Reporting: Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with Ind AS/Indian GAAP and NBFC-specific accounting guidelines. Monitor and control budget implementation and variances. Manage closing of books and ensure timely MIS reporting to management. Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure compliance with RBI norms applicable to NBFCs, including filing of returns and reporting formats (e.g., NBS returns). Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and RBI inspections. Coordinate with external auditors and consultants for tax audits and other statutory filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax). Maintain updated knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation. Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, fund flow, and bank reconciliations. Manage banking relationships and oversee disbursement/repayment of loans. Coordinate funding requirements and work with senior management on treasury planning. Loan & Asset Accounting: Oversee accounting of loan disbursements, repayments, and provisioning of bad debts as per RBI norms. Ensure proper tracking and classification of financial assets and liabilities. Team Management & Coordination: Lead and supervise the accounts team. Train and guide junior staff in financial processes and compliance requirements. Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and strategy.
