The person, who will be responsible for both the financial integrity of sales and the seamless flow of sales operations.

Reporting structure

  • Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Managing Director.
  • Supervises: Accounts team and sales support staff.

Job summary

· may lead all financial accounting functions, from daily record-keeping to generating high-level financial reports for management.

· will also be the primary administrative coordinator for the sales department, managing the workflow from order processing to dispatch and ensuring effective communication between sales, logistics, and finance.

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8–10 years of combined experience in accounting and sales coordination, preferably within the agrochemical or agricultural inputs industry.

Skills

  • Financial expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, tax regulations (GST, TDS), and compliance procedures.
  • Software proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in accounting software like Tally and strong skills in MS Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and clients. Must have experience of team management.
  • Analytical ability: Strong analytical skills to prepare and interpret financial and sales data.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and sales documentation.
  • Organizational skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a diverse set of responsibilities.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to handle and resolve issues related to sales orders, client payments, and logistical challenges effectively.

Key responsibilities

Accounts and finance responsibilities

  • Financial management and reporting: Oversee the accurate recording of all financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
  • Sales collection management: Ensure timely collection of payments from distributors, retailers, and other clients to meet collection targets.
  • Statutory compliance: Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other tax returns. Ensure all financial activities are compliant with government regulations.
  • Financial analysis: Provide regular financial reports, including sales performance, collections, and profitability analysis, to senior management.
  • Audit support: Assist in preparing for and managing internal and external audits.
  • Credit management: Monitor and manage the credit status of customers in coordination with the sales team.

Sales coordination responsibilities

  • Order-to-cash cycle: Coordinate the entire sales order process, including order entry, invoice generation, and dispatch coordination with the logistics and warehouse teams.
  • Sales team support: Act as a liaison between the sales team and other internal departments, addressing inquiries and ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Client communication: Communicate with clients regarding their orders, invoices, and payments, resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate sales and financial records, updating other sales-related databases.
  • Sales reporting: Assist in the preparation of sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for the management team.
  • Inter-departmental collaboration: Work with the sales and marketing teams to align product availability with promotional activities and ensure market needs are met.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
