Job Description

A quality chemist in an agrochemical company is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products by conducting tests and analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. They play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. Specific responsibilities include: Testing and Analysis: Performing chemical and physical analyses using techniques like HPLC, GC, and titrations to verify that products meet established quality standards. Quality Control: Evaluating raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all analytical data and preparing reports according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving quality-related issues that may arise during the production process. Compliance: Ensuring all activities adhere to relevant regulations and standards, such as those set by FAO, BIS, and other industry bodies. Method Development: Developing and validating new analytical methods for testing agrochemical products. Collaboration: Working closely with other teams, such as production, regulatory, and R&D, to address quality concerns and improve processes. Process Optimization: Contributing to efforts to optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Research and Development: Participating in research and development activities to improve existing formulations and develop new products.
