Accountant (Zoho Books)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Zoho Books Accountant to manage and maintain our financial records using Zoho Books. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Zoho ecosystem and a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Zoho Books.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions including invoices, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) records.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, cash flow statements, and financial reports.
• Generate GST, TDS, and other statutory reports (as applicable).
• Handle vendor and customer ledger reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely billing and collections.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Customize and automate reports and workflows within Zoho Books.
• Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably using Zoho Books.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Experience with GST/TDS returns and compliance (for Indian context).
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with Zoho ecosystem (Zoho CRM, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Payroll) is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Salem, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
