Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing day-to-day accounts, GST/TDS compliance, and financial reporting in an Indian business context. The role demands accuracy, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain financial records, ledgers, and statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards.
• Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliance, including filing of returns.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and intercompany balances.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in audits (internal and statutory) and coordinate with auditors.
• Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and ensure data accuracy.
• Provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments for financial clarifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (M.Com/CA Inter preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other Indian taxation and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems and digital accounting tools.
• Knowledge of payroll management and ROC compliance is an added advantage.
• Exposure to working with SMEs or corporate finance teams.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and industry standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
