Roles & Responsibilities of an Accountant1. Financial Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Record all financial transactions in ledgers or accounting software.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

2. Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management

• Post journal entries and update general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.

3. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide financial reports to management for decision-making.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process incoming and outgoing payments.
• Generate customer invoices and manage collections.
• Monitor accounts payable to ensure timely payments to suppliers.

5. Taxation & Compliance

• Calculate and file tax returns (e.g., GST, VAT, TDS, corporate tax).
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Assist in tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.

6. Internal Controls & Audits

• Maintain internal financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Identify and recommend improvements to financial procedures and systems.

7. Payroll Support

• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
• Ensure accurate salary, deduction, and benefit calculations.
• Maintain employee expense and reimbursement records.

8. Asset & Inventory Management

• Track and manage company fixed assets.
• Assist in physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain depreciation schedules and asset registers.

✅ Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
• Attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
