The Role

We're seeking a meticulous Accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance as we scale. You'll be the financial backbone supporting our innovative engineering teams, handling everything from day-to-day bookkeeping to strategic tax planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Compliance & Reporting

  : Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory requirements (ROC filings, statutory audits), prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements, and maintain audit-ready documentation

• Tax Management & Indian Compliance

  : Handle GST returns, TDS compliance, income tax filings, PF/ESI regulations, and coordinate with chartered accountants and tax consultants

• Books & Records

  : Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking in compliance with Indian accounting standards

• Startup Financial Operations

  : Support R&D tax credit applications, equity transaction recording, and investor reporting requirements

• Process Optimization

  : Implement efficient accounting systems and procedures to support rapid company growth

• Cash Flow Management

  : Monitor cash positions, assist with budgeting, and provide financial insights to leadership

What You Bring

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), CA, or related qualification
• Minimum 3+ years accounting experience in Indian companies (startup/tech experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Zoho Books, Excel, and Tally (if applicable)
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
• Experience with PF, ESI, and Indian payroll regulations

Preferred:

• CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification or pursuing CA
• Experience with technology sector accounting and startup operations
• Knowledge of foreign exchange regulations and FEMA compliance
• Familiarity with ROC filings and statutory audit processes
• Previous startup or high-growth company experience in India
