Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsible Accountant to join our finance and operations team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, supporting internal audits, and helping maintain financial compliance according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record day-to-day financial transactions with 100% accuracy.
Maintain ledgers, journals, vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
Update accounts payable and accounts receivable on a regular basis.
Financial Documentation & Reports
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing reports.
Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
Prepare statements for management review (payments, outstanding, cash flow, etc.).
GST & Compliance
Handle GST filings, GST purchase & sales entries, and GSTR reconciliation.
Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits.
Banking & Reconciliation
Perform bank reconciliation and vendor reconciliation every month.
Track payments, receipts, and ensure timely settlements.
Monitor and maintain petty cash records.
Vendor & Internal Coordination
Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and clarifications.
Work closely with procurement, HR, and operations teams for financial updates.
Support management with data for budgeting and cost analysis.
Error Checks & Accuracy Control
Identify discrepancies in financial records.
Correct errors and ensure clean and accurate books at all times.
Review entries for accuracy before final submission.
Required Skills
Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
Hands-on experience with Tally / Zoho Books / MS Excel.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (if any) is an added advantage.
