Job Description

Role Overview:

The Account Director is a senior client partner responsible for driving the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of key accounts within the agency. This role requires a mix of strong client relationship management, strategic thinking, creative collaboration, and team leadership. The Account Director acts as the key liaison between clients and internal creative, strategy, and media teams — ensuring the delivery of exceptional campaigns that meet business objectives and elevate brand value.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Leadership

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, building long-term partnerships based on trust and results.
  • Understand client business goals, market challenges, and brand positioning to develop effective marketing and communication strategies.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions with confidence and clarity.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure seamless communication between client and agency teams.


Strategic & Creative Direction

  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, and media teams to shape campaign ideas that are both innovative and effective.
  • Translate client briefs into actionable strategies and guide the creative process from concept to execution.
  • Oversee campaign performance, ensuring alignment with client KPIs and brand objectives.
  • Bring fresh perspectives on branding, advertising trends, and consumer insights.


Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers and Executives to deliver outstanding client service and project outcomes.
  • Foster a positive, motivated, and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure timely, quality-driven delivery of campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of advertising, branding, and integrated marketing communications.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with creative appreciation and analytical ability.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills for client engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Financial acumen and experience in account profitability management.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in an advertising agency environment.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale campaigns and leading multi-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of ATL, BTL, and digital marketing ecosystems.
