About The Opportunity

A fast-moving business in the Travel & Tourism sector providing domestic and international ticketing, tour packages, and corporate travel services. The finance function operates as a remote-first hub that supports agents, suppliers and corporate clients across India.We are hiring an Accounts Manager (primary title: Accounts Manager) to run end-to-end accounting operations remotely—ensuring accurate books, timely vendor & client billing, statutory compliance, and dependable financial reporting for leadership.Role & Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting: post journals, maintain ledgers, and ensure accurate books of accounts for multiple business verticals.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable—raise invoices, chase collections, process supplier payments, and reconcile outstanding balances.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities—prepare P&L, balance sheet schedules, and simple cash-flow statements for management review.
  • Execute bank reconciliations, vendor & client statement reconciliations; resolve discrepancies and follow up to close aged items.
  • Ensure GST, TDS and other statutory compliances are filed accurately and on time; coordinate with external CA/tax advisors as required.
  • Standardise accounting processes, maintain audit trails, and support external/internal audits with timely documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Diploma/Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or equivalent with 2+ years in accounts (travel industry experience preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP / QuickBooks / Xero or similar accounting software and strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
  • Proven ability in AP/AR, invoicing, bank reconciliations and month-end close processes.
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory filing processes in India.
  • Strong communication skills, vendor management experience, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Preferred

  • Experience in travel & tourism accounting (ticketing commissions, supplier settlements) and familiarity with multi-currency transactions.
  • Exposure to payroll processing, simple MIS reporting, and working with external auditors/chartered accountants.
