Job Title: Academic Manager

Location: Hyderabad
Reporting to: Regional Manager
Department: Academic Operations
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly organized Academic Manager to manage the daily academic operations of our center. This role requires a visionary leader to guide faculty, monitor student progress, ensure high academic quality, and implement strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will work in close coordination with Regional Managers, parents, faculty, and staff to ensure the highest standards of educational delivery and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership & Operations:

Lead and manage all academic functions of the center, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Guide, mentor, and support faculty in delivering high-quality teaching aligned with the curriculum.
Monitor student performance and progress through regular academic assessments and interventions.
Coordinate and manage the department's course schedules and academic calendar.
Ensure effective curriculum delivery, academic compliance, and quality assurance.

Strategic Planning & Development:

Develop long-term plans to enhance the learning environment and academic delivery.
Drive cross-center collaborations and partnerships to boost program effectiveness.
Lead the development and implementation of new academic programs and enrichment initiatives.
Set academic KPIs and align departmental goals with organizational strategy.

Staff Management:

Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain a qualified academic team.
Conduct performance evaluations, training programs, and staff development initiatives.
Oversee manpower planning and ensure adequate faculty-student ratios.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with parents, students, and external agencies to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
Address escalated concerns from stakeholders and maintain a positive public image.
Represent the center at open houses, graduation ceremonies, and other academic events.

Compliance & Administration:

Manage departmental budgets, physical and technological resources.
Ensure adherence to institutional policies, safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate academic records, training documentation, and ensure confidentiality.

Center Performance & Risk Management:

Establish operational policies, procedures, and standards.
Drive improvements in academic processes, risk management, and center operations.
Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for academic and operational success.

Other Duties:

Teach classes when needed as per curriculum requirements.
Lead initiatives on student engagement and enrollment drives.
Support case management for academic or behavioral interventions.
Perform additional tasks as required to ensure academic excellence and center growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or relevant field.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in academic management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in managing faculty, curriculum, and academic operations at a school, college, or learning center.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Strategic thinking with problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in academic planning, reporting, and quality assurance.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of educational policies, learning systems, and teaching methodologies.

Work Environment:

A collaborative and learner-focused environment.
Regular interaction with staff, parents, and students.
Occasional travel to other centers or for stakeholder meetings/events.
