Job Title: Windows Server Administrator
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 3+ years in Windows Server Administration
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Windows Server Administrator to manage and maintain mission-critical Windows server infrastructure in a high availability (HA) environment. The ideal candidate will ensure stability, performance, and security across our Windows ecosystem, supporting 24x7 operations and helping deliver uninterrupted IT services to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) in enterprise environments. • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery through clustering, failover configuration, and backup strategies.
• Monitor system performance, patch levels, and uptime using enterprise tools.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and domain services with best practices.
• Administer Hyper-V or VMware virtualization platforms supporting the Windows infrastructure.
• Perform routine system checks, capacity planning, and implement proactive maintenance.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues impacting availability or performance.
• Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and change management in line with ITIL practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support weekend maintenance windows when required.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server clustering, HA configurations, and failover mechanisms.
• Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware ESXi.
• Proficient with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and change/release processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure AD, Azure Site Recovery).
• Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Nagios, PRTG).
• Experience working in a 24x7 operations or data center environment.
