Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Establish contacts with workers and management to foster harmonious relations and resolve disputes or grievances quickly.
Serve as a bridge between factory management and workers, communicating workers concerns and management’s policies clearly.
Oversee and promote facilities such as canteens, crches, rest shelters, medical care, safe drinking water, sanitation, and other essential amenities.
Counsel management about statutory welfare provisions and help formulate welfare policies.
Intimate management about workers’ grievances and ensure speedy and fair resolution.
Formation and supervise welfare committees, and other bodies intended to enhance workers’ well-being and participation.
Maintain up-to-date records of welfare activities, grievances, committee work, and statutory requirements fulfilled.
Advise on health, safety, and preventive measures in the workplace; arrange counseling and awareness sessions for employees.
