Job Description

We are seeking a Welfare Officer to oversee employee welfare, statutory compliance, and contract labour management within our manufacturing plant. The role requires strong knowledge of the Factories Act, labour laws, and plant-level HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor welfare provisions under the
Factories Act & State Factory Rules
.
Handle
statutory compliances
: registers, records, inspections, audits, and license renewals.
Prepare and submit
statutory returns
(Monthly, Half-Yearly, Annual).
Manage
contract labour
: CLRA compliance, contractor documentation, ECR/challan verification, attendance & OT validation.
Ensure statutory benefits:
PF, ESIC, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Maternity
, and other labour welfare schemes.
Conduct worker induction, safety orientation, health check-ups, and welfare programs.
Maintain canteen, drinking water, PPE, sanitation, and first-aid facilities.
Support grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and IR activities.
Coordinate with Labour Inspector, Factory Inspector, Safety Officer, and external auditors.
Maintain all welfare registers/forms: muster roll, OT, leave with wages, accident register, contractor registers.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of
Labour Laws, Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESIC, LWF, Gratuity
Experience in
Statutory Compliance
& plant HR documentation
Contract labour handling & shopfloor coordination
Good communication, counselling & grievance handling
Proficiency in MS Office / HRMS
