Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures accuracy, optimizes workflow, maintains safety standards, and manages warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. Warehouse Operations Manage end-to-end warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. Ensure accurate inventory control and conduct regular cycle counts/stock audits. Optimize warehouse layout for efficiency and safety. Monitor and improve KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time dispatch, and inventory shrinkage. 2. Team Management Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff including supervisors, pickers, and forklift operators. Prepare shift schedules and allocate tasks based on workload. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement. 3. Inventory Management Implement FIFO/FEFO, batch/lot management, and stock rotation processes. Coordinate with procurement and planning teams on stock levels and replenishment. Investigate inventory discrepancies and take corrective action. 4. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA/local regulatory standards. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse. Conduct regular inspections of equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, racks, etc.). 5. Systems & Reporting Utilize WMS/ERP systems for inventory and order tracking. Generate daily/weekly/monthly operational reports. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. 6. Vendor & Transport Coordination Liaise with transporters and logistics partners for timely dispatch and delivery. Ensure accurate documentation including invoices, delivery notes, manifests, and GRNs.
