The War Room Coordinator is the primary command-center role responsible for real-time coordination between Clients, drive test teams, back-office analysts, and GCorp leadership. This role ensures FCC methodology compliance, correct test execution (stationary + mobile), grid completion accuracy, route adherence, and daily reporting. The coordinator is the single point of contact inside the Clients War Room and directly represents GCorp to the client.
A. War Room Operations & Client Coordination
- Act as the main representative of GCorp in Clients’s FCC war room.
- Attend daily stand-ups, mid-day syncs, and EOD meetings with Clients TPMs, coordinators, vendors, and HQ.
- Provide real-time status of each state, each team, and each assigned grid.
- Communicate deviations, outages, accessibility issues, or tester delays immediately.
- Maintain professional communication and ensure transparency with Clients teams.
B. Drive Test Monitoring & Routing Control
- Monitor each tester’s live location and testing progress throughout the day.
- Verify correct stationary test execution inside the population-weighted centroid grid or proxy grid.
- Ensure mobile test begins in the same grid and moves toward the correct edge according to FCC methodology.
- Confirm all routes follow Clients-approved paths and drivable/safe roads.
- Validate that private property or unsafe zones are not accessed.
C. FCC Methodology Compliance
- Ensure Stationary Test + Mobile Test + Scanner Logs are completed for every grid.
- Enforce adherence to FCC Drive Test Methodology: 500m grid rules, centroid rules, proxy grids, mobile-test timing, scanner antenna placement.
- Ensure all teams operate within allowed hours (6 AM–10 PM).
- Monitor configuration errors, GPS drift, incorrect script execution.
D. Issue Management & Problem Resolution
- Handle first-level troubleshooting: scanner not detected, no logs, script failure, GPS drift, routing errors.
- Log all issues and escalate immediately where necessary.
- Coordinate re-drives for incomplete or invalid grids.
E. Deliverables & Reporting
- Ensure daily submission of: vehicle setup photos, stationary logs, mobile logs, scanner logs, route validation, attendance.
- Update Clients trackers and internal tracking sheets.
- Provide EOD summary with progress, risks, re-drives, and next actions.
F. Training & Compliance
- Ensure all testers complete Clients-required training and acknowledge methodology.
- Maintain training and certification logs.
- Provide corrective training when repeat errors occur.
G. Hardware / Asset Coordination
- Track scanner serial numbers, handset IMEIs, GNSS kits, cables, tablets.
- Manage hardware RMA, replacements, shipments.
- Report missing or damaged equipment immediately.
A. Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of 5G/LTE drive testing
- Understanding of RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, throughput concepts
- Hands-on familiarity with TEMS / TEMS Cloud / Paragon
- Ability to read and interpret Actix logs
- Knowledge of scanner operation & GNSS/GPS
- Understanding of FCC 5G testing methodology
- Familiarity with grid testing concepts (500m grid, centroid, census block)
- Understanding of RF basics (bands, bandwidth, load, sectors)
B. Soft Skills
- Excellent English communication (spoken & written)
- Strong client-handling capability
- Leadership to manage 10–40 drive testers spread across states
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
- Quick decision-making ability
C. Tools
- TEMS Paragon / Cloud
- GPS dashboards
- Log upload portals
- Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Internal tracking systems
- 7–10 years of telecom project management / coordination/operations management.
- Experience managing large-scale field teams (minimum 10 resources).
- Drive test coordination experience preferred.
- Prior operator/vendor coordination (Clients, Verizon, AT&T, Airtel, Vodafone, etc.) is a plus.
