We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, IRRBB HKMA Reporting
Business: Finance Function
Principal responsibilities
-
Timely and accurate delivery of IRRBB (Interest Rate in Banking Book) metrics for the Region and Entities and Consolidation for Interest Rate metrics for Group or Regional External disclosures and Regulatory submission, including NII (Net interest income) sensitivity, EVE (Economic value of equity) sensitivity, NTMR (Non traded market risk) and other stress testing reports.

Support the functional management in monitoring, strengthening process controls and management of risk control framework.
- Work closely with senior business stakeholders in understanding the criticality of their requirements, prioritization of tasks and plan accordingly.
Change and Transformation
-
IRRBB Ops has a key change agenda to support delivery of F4 and Apex transformation and meet business and regulatory requirements for accelerated and more frequent reporting. The role holder needs to play a leading role to implement this transformation and change requirements.
- Review the business requirements as well as functional requirement and prepare appropriate test cases to facilitate the UAT and DR for change projects.

Align practices with existing other teams in ALCM (Asset Liability and Capital Management ) to embed global processes and standard EUC’s

Deliver on the standardisation and simplification initiatives through process synergies and realisation of cost saves through process re-engineering.
Customers / Stakeholders

Group Treasury, Regional Treasury, Entity ALM (Asset Liability Management) teams, IRRBB FCD, IT, SPST, Business Finance and Internal IRRBB and FinOps teams

Develop effective relationship with business areas and identify areas of improvements by implementing regular calls and feedback mechanism.

Influence and escalate key issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution.

Continuous reviews of the issues and ensure products and services are tailored on an ongoing basis to meet expectation.

Respond to queries from customer and senior group level management as appropriate.
Qualifications
-
Professionally qualified in Finance or Engineering domain - CA / CPA / CFA / MBA (Finance) / FRM / B.Tech with Financial engineering or Financial analysis etc.
- Experience in Treasury (Liquidity, IRRBB, Capital) domain, Financial or Regulatory Reporting with focus on Treasury Risk or Global Markets within Global Banking environment covering IFRS / IAS reporting framework.

Sound understanding of International Bank’s Balance Sheet, P&L, market products and line of business (specifically GBM)

System knowledge - Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products i.e., Excel, Power Point etc.
- Demonstrated experience working and nurturing relationships with senior stakeholders across geographies
- Excellent communication skills and presentation are mandatory, as are good tact and diplomacy, as the role requires relationship management with other individuals and teams within the HSBC Group

Confident to work effectively with stakeholders across the bank, driving and influencing outcomes to deliver activities on time and to progressively improve the efficiency of processes over the longer term.

Understanding the regulatory environment, guidelines, and new developments to assess impact on Bank’s processes and implementing change
What additional skills will be good to have?

Basic knowledge of SQL database (preferable).

Coordination with multiple data sources and owners to ensure consistency of data across systems

Knowledge of QRM or similar forecasting modelling tool is a significant plus.

Experience in managing projects developing and implementing new systems, process design and process reengineering.

Strong communication skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to a global audience.

Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent and multiple changes
