Job Description

As a VP- Business Development at OPEN, a leading Series D-funded startup based in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic sales and business development initiatives. With over 500 talented professionals and backed by global leaders like Temasek, Google, and Tiger Global, OPEN is at the forefront of innovation in the financial technology industry. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and engaging potential clients, such as business leaders, CFOs, and CAs, to promote our tax and compliance solutions. You will be expected to demonstrate consultative selling skills by understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their financial and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our market presence and customer base. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will be essential to ensure long-term partnerships and drive revenue growth. Your industry expertise will be crucial in staying updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance trends to effectively position our solutions in the market. Collaboration with product teams to refine offerings based on market feedback will also be a key aspect of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in financial technology or enterprise SaaS solutions. A strong background in finance, including a deep understanding of financial principles, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks, is required. Proven sales acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as familiarity with financial software, tax automation tools, and compliance platforms are essential. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience in selling financial technology solutions, knowledge of tax compliance software and regulatory frameworks, and an established network within the finance and accounting industry will be advantageous in this role.
