USMLE Sarthi is seeking a results-driven Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students through the USMLE pathway, assess their backgrounds, recommend the best-fit USMLE services, and convert inquiries into successful enrollments. This is a 100% remote, high-responsibility position blending one-on-one student mentorship with sales excellence. Key Responsibilities - Conduct detailed conversations with leads to understand their medical education history, USMLE attempts (if any), visa status, and aspirations regarding the US residency Match. - Evaluate student profiles and provide tailored advice on USMLE preparation, exam sequencing, application strategy, and relevant USMLE Sarthi programs. - Clearly articulate the benefits and outcomes of our USMLE-specific services (Step 1/2 prep, clinical rotations, research, residency advising, etc.), addressing any questions or concerns. - Follow up diligently with leads (via calls, Zoom, WhatsApp, email) to encourage timely decision-making and enrollment. - Maintain accurate records of all student interactions, advice given, and conversion progress using our CRM and internal tools. - Seamlessly coordinate with our student success and operations teams to ensure new enrollees have a smooth onboarding experience. - Stay updated on USMLE and international medical graduate trends to offer relevant and up-to-date guidance. Requirements - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (medicine, science, counseling, or related fields preferred). - 2+ years’ experience in academic counselling, edtech, medical admissions, or consultative sales roles. - Deep understanding of (or willingness to quickly master) the USMLE process, timelines, and requirements for international medical graduates. - Outstanding communication, empathy, and persuasion skills; able to inspire trust and explain complex USMLE pathways simply. - Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organized—with proven ability to autonomously manage follow-ups and conversions. - Proficient with digital tools: Zoom, Google Workspace, Calendly, WhatsApp, CRM platforms. Role Overview You will be the face of USMLESarthi in India — visiting campuses, meeting students, speaking at events, engaging with student groups, and building partnerships with medical colleges and organizations. This is a people-facing, impact-driven role for someone who thrives on networking, can inspire students, and understands the USMLE pathway. What You’ll Do: Build relationships with MBBS students through campus visits, workshops, and events. Partner with student organizations to run joint programs, webinars, and campaigns.
