IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Design, configure, and maintain DCS/PLC/SCADA or equivalent platforms systems for marine process control, including ballast, bilge, cargo handling, and power management systems.
- Develop control logic, HMI/graphic displays, and alarm management tailored to marine operations.
- Make sure the control logic and databases are ready for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) for new vessel installations and retrofit projects.
- Collaborate with Service engineers and project engineers for smooth commissioning of new vessels.
- Ensure control systems comply with marine class society standards and IMO regulations.
- Support system upgrades, obsolescence management, and cybersecurity measures for marine automation systems.
- Provide technical support and training to onboard Service engineers.
- Integrate and test control systems using simulation tools (DevSim, ModScan, ModSim).
- Contribute to documentation and lifecycle management including version control, change logs, and technical manuals.
- Participate in cross-functional team discussions and stakeholder communications across engineering, operations, and service teams.
- Understand and implement redundancy strategies for marine control systems.

- Must Have Skills / Competencies
- Experienced in hardware testing, maintenance, and test lab setup, including configuring test benches, troubleshooting equipment, verifying functionality and performance across test environments.
- Working Knowledge on Communication Protocol like Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, NMEA
- Working Knowledge of SQL or SQLite Database.
- Hands-on experience with control system platforms.
- Experience in testing applications on Windows & Linux OS platforms
- Good to have Skills / Competencies
- Marine or offshore process domains will be plus point (e.g., LNG carriers, FPSOs, offshore platforms, or marine vessels).
- Familiarity with marine systems.
- Good understanding of marine process operations, instrumentation, and electrical interfaces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
B.E/B. Tech in Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation
Experience:
Candidate should have minimum
3+ years
of experience in
control system engineering.
