Job Description

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Vendor Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, registering, and testing new language services vendors, negotiating rates, terms and conditions with new and existing vendors, maintaining the internal database and vendor documentation, as well as assisting other departments with vendor-related queries.

  • Screen vendor applications and actively source new vendors – language services providers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, including rates, time frames and discounts.
  • Maintain vendor-related documentation and administration.
  • Prepare vendor-related documentation and presentations.
  • Assist other departments in the company with vendor-related queries.
  • Assist vendors with various queries.
  • Liaise and collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure customer satisfaction and process compliance.
  • Prepare, send out and score written translation tests to new vendors.
  • Independently seek and provide solutions on sourcing tasks, negotiations, and vendor-related matters, including vendor performance using established metrics for quality and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain exceptional knowledge of the company's main clients and provide expert advice as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Foreign Languages, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of the language services/translation industry.
  • Experience in vendor management, sourcing, and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
