Job Description

As a Vendor Management Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing the complete lifecycle of our vendor relationships. This includes identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and fostering collaborations that align with our strategic objectives. Your expertise will directly contribute to the quality of our products, efficiency of our operations, and overall business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships

    with existing and new vendors, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Source, evaluate, and select new vendors

    based on comprehensive criteria including quality, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and ethical practices.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing

    with vendors to secure favorable agreements and optimize value for the company.
  • Monitor and assess vendor performance

    against agreed-upon KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards (e.g., delivery timelines, product quality, service levels).
  • Conduct

    regular vendor reviews

    and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement and address any performance gaps.
  • Ensure

    vendor compliance

    with company policies, industry regulations, security standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage the

    onboarding and offboarding processes

    for vendors, ensuring smooth transitions and proper documentation.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues, disputes, or escalations

    promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities for

    vendor consolidation, optimization, or innovation

    to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments

    such as Procurement, Production, Retail Operations, Marketing, and IT to align vendor strategies with business needs.
  • Maintain

    accurate and up-to-date vendor records, contracts, and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in

    vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management

    .
  • Exceptional

    negotiation and communication skills

    , both written and verbal.
  • Strong

    analytical abilities

    to evaluate vendor performance, market trends, and financial proposals.
  • Proficiency in

    contract management

    and understanding of legal terms related to vendor agreements.
  • High level of

    attention to detail

    and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Familiarity with

    ERP systems

    (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for vendor and procurement processes is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience within the

    retail, jewelry, or manufacturing sector

    is highly advantageous.
