VAYUZ Technologies - Python Developer - Django/Flask

Role Expectations :

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Python developers.
• Mentor junior developers in best practices, coding standards, and problem-solving techniques.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Effectively communicates with team members, customers, partners and management, including assisting with or conducting more complex technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Python-based applications and services.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python frameworks.
• Experience with API gateways such as Axway.
• Document and maintain APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and address underlying problems.
• Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and operations teams.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, tools, and technologies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Python trends and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.
• Performs work in compliance with all Highmark and Highmark IT standards, policies and procedures.
• Implement and manage secure configuration using tools like Conjur.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field
• 7+ years of experience Python development.
• Strong understanding of Python programming concepts, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Experience with API development and documentation tools (e.g., Axway, Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Experience with secure configuration management tools (e.g., Conjur, CyberArk Privileged Access Security).
• Experience with Python libraries for PDF manipulation (e.g., PyPDF2, ReportLab, pikepdf).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading a team of developers.
• Experience with Project Management tools
