Role Overview:

Enrolled Agent (EA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Represent clients before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals.
• Assist with tax planning strategies throughout the year to minimize liabilities and enhance compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to accounting teams and clients on tax matters.
• Analyze financial records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and proactive planning.

Requirements:

• Active

  Enrolled Agent (EA)

  credential with the IRS.
• Minimum [X years] of tax preparation and representation experience (public accounting experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state tax codes.
• Experience with major tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake, ProSeries).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common office tools.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and client service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with U.S.-based CPA firms or in a BPO/outsourcing model.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Exposure to international tax issues or multi-state tax filings is a plus.
