Counselor who combines expertise in both profile building and undergraduate admissions

  • Grades 9-10 (Profile Building Focus):

    Helping students discover academic/career interests and guiding them to build a strong, holistic profile.
  • Grades 11-12 (Admissions Focus):

    Guiding students through the college admissions process, from university shortlisting to crafting applications.

Key Responsibilities

Profile Building (Grades 9-10):

  • Conduct

    career exploration and interest mapping

    sessions.
  • Design

    multi-year roadmaps

    covering academics, extracurriculars, research, internships, volunteering, and summer schools.
  • Recommend tailored activities such as

    online courses, competitions, projects, and community service

    .
  • Track student growth and adjust plans as interests evolve.

Admissions Counseling (Grades 11-12):

  • Guide students in

    university shortlisting

    based on academic background, interests, and career goals.
  • Assist with

    application essays, resumes, and recommendation letters

    .
  • Provide feedback on personal statements and ensure applications highlight the students strengths.
  • Support students through the

    application timeline

    : testing, deadlines, interview prep, and scholarships.

Across Both Stages:

  • Maintain consistent communication with students and parents to ensure progress and alignment.
  • Stay updated on

    global admissions trends, scholarships, and testing requirements

    (SAT, ACT, IELTS/TOEFL).
  • Ensure personalized attention (maximum ~50 students per counselor).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred in

    Education, Psychology, or related fields

    .
  • Prior experience as a

    school counselor, career coach, or admissions advisor

    strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of

    international curricula

    (IB, A-Levels, AP, CBSE, etc.) and study-abroad pathways.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Study abroad experience (preferred).
  • Passion for mentoring teenagers and shaping their academic journeys.
