The role is designed to support students through two key stages of their journey : Grades 9-10 (Profile Building Focus): Helping students discover academic/career interests and guiding them to build a strong, holistic profile. Grades 11-12 (Admissions Focus): Guiding students through the college admissions process, from university shortlisting to crafting applications. Key Responsibilities Profile Building (Grades 9-10): Conduct career exploration and interest mapping sessions. Design multi-year roadmaps covering academics, extracurriculars, research, internships, volunteering, and summer schools. Recommend tailored activities such as online courses, competitions, projects, and community service . Track student growth and adjust plans as interests evolve. Admissions Counseling (Grades 11-12): Guide students in university shortlisting based on academic background, interests, and career goals. Assist with application essays, resumes, and recommendation letters . Provide feedback on personal statements and ensure applications highlight the students strengths. Support students through the application timeline : testing, deadlines, interview prep, and scholarships. Across Both Stages: Maintain consistent communication with students and parents to ensure progress and alignment. Stay updated on global admissions trends, scholarships, and testing requirements (SAT, ACT, IELTS/TOEFL). Ensure personalized attention (maximum ~50 students per counselor). Qualifications Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred in Education, Psychology, or related fields . Prior experience as a school counselor, career coach, or admissions advisor strongly preferred. Understanding of international curricula (IB, A-Levels, AP, CBSE, etc.) and study-abroad pathways. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Study abroad experience (preferred). Passion for mentoring teenagers and shaping their academic journeys.
