Role Overview
The Data & Analytics Lead will play a critical role in building VIWELLs analytics foundation, ensuring the company has a reliable source of truth, consistent metric definitions, and high-quality insights that drive business and product decisions.This role requires strong analytical leadership, hands-on technical ability, and a structured approach to delivering dashboards, experiment readouts, and user behavior insights. The ideal candidate brings experience in digital analytics (GA4, Mixpanel), SQL-based data modelling, retention analysis, and data storytellingideally within a fast-paced, product-focused or startup environment.The Data & Analytics Lead will work closely with Product, Data/ML Engineering, Backend, and Executive Leadership to establish taxonomy, tracking plans, dashboards, and analytics frameworks that support VIWELLs growth and personalization strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Define tracking taxonomy and source-of-truth metrics in partnership with Product, Data/ML, and Engineering teams.
- Build and maintain dashboards for retention, engagement funnels, cohorts, and user journey drop-offs across key user segments.
- Instrument exposure and outcome events required for experiments, personalization models, and product insights.
- Deliver weekly readouts and executive insights, highlighting trends, anomalies, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Develop and govern a data dictionary, ensuring consistent metric definitions and clear lineage across all analytics outputs.
- Maintain a structured dashboard catalogue and ensure data accessibility, quality, and usability across stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence decisions with data and ensure analytics integration across product and growth initiatives.
- Run ad-hoc deep dives into user behavior, retention drivers, and feature performance to support product optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors or masters degree in data science, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5- 7 years of experience in digital analytics, product analytics, or data analytics roles, ideally in B2C or mobile/app environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with GA4 or Mixpanel, SQL, and data modelling.
- Experience working with Databricks SQL, retention analysis, cohort modelling, and experiment evaluation.
- Proven ability to deliver clear, structured dashboards and high-impact insights for business and product teams.
- Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams in fast-paced organizations.
- High attention to detail, strong governance mindset, and ability to maintain consistent metric definitions across teams.
