Treasury Analyst

• A treasury analyst manages a company's cash flow, financial risks, and liquidity to ensure financial health. Key responsibilities include monitoring daily cash positions, creating cash flow forecasts, managing bank relationships and accounts, and analyzing investment and debt opportunities. They also support senior management by preparing financial reports, dashboards, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Core responsibilities
• Cash and liquidity management: Monitor daily cash flow, ensure sufficient funds for operations, and manage short-term investments to maximize returns.
• Financial forecasting: Prepare short, medium, and long-term cash flow forecasts and analyze working capital to predict future needs.
• Bank and relationship management: Liaise with banks to manage accounts, services, and fees. They also oversee and reconcile bank statements.
• Risk management: Monitor financial risks, such as foreign exchange exposure, and support hedging strategies when applicable.
• Reporting and analysis: Generate treasury reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management. They also provide analysis on debt, investments, and other financial activities.
• Compliance and process improvement: Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. They also support process improvements and the automation of treasury functions.
• Essential skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and solve complex problems.
• Organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial, along with familiarity with treasury management systems and accounting principles.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with banks, management, and other departments.
• Financial acumen: A solid understanding of accounting, financial analysis, and treasury functions.
