Job Description

  • A Network Administrator is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting an organization's computer networks.
  • They ensure data can be transmitted quickly and securely between users, manage network security, and provide technical support. Key responsibilities include installing and configuring network hardware and software, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, managing user access, and implementing security measures.   • Network Design and Implementation: Planning, installing, and configuring network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, servers) to meet organizational needs.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices, operating systems, and applications.
  • Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and uptime.
  • Security Management: Implementing and managing security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches.
  • User Account Management: Creating and managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Providing technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving network-related issues, and assisting with software and hardware problems.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Disaster Recovery: Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime in case of emergencies.
