Role Description

The Trainee in Strategy & Data supports the organization in strategic planning, data analysis, and decision-making processes. This entry-level position provides exposure to business strategy development, data-driven insights, and project management under the guidance of senior team members. The Trainee works closely with multiple departments to analyze trends, support reporting, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive business growth.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to develop analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills while gaining hands-on experience in data and business strategy functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business decisions.
  • Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and business performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to gather requirements and insights.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and assist in tracking progress against goals.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for strategic projects and analyses.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to provide input on data insights.
  • Learn and apply analytical tools and methodologies to support ongoing projects.
  • Maintain data accuracy and ensure adherence to data governance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Interest in business strategy, data analytics, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset, with willingness to learn from senior team members.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic business environment.
