About The Opportunity

We operate in the technology-enabled customer engagement and field-operations services sector, supporting large-scale frontline teams across India. This on-site role sits within the transport & fleet operations function that ensures reliable, on-time movement of people and assets through manual routing and day-to-day route management.We are hiring a Transport Operations Team Lead focused on manual routing and fleet coordination to drive execution excellence, optimise daily routes, and lead a small operations team across multiple locations.Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead daily transport operations: build and assign manual routes, allocate drivers/vehicles, and ensure on-time execution against SLAs.
  • Coordinate driver workforce: manage schedules, communicate route changes, handle escalations, and maintain driver performance records.
  • Monitor performance & KPIs: track on-time delivery rates, utilization, cost-per-trip and prepare concise operational reports for stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational exceptions: troubleshoot traffic, last‑minute cancellations, and route conflicts to minimise downtime and service impact.
  • Enforce compliance & safety: ensure drivers follow regulatory rules, vehicle checks, and company safety protocols; escalate incidents appropriately.
  • Drive continuous improvements: recommend and test manual-routing optimisations, document best practices, and mentor junior staff to raise team productivity.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 3+ years in transport/fleet operations with hands-on manual routing and driver coordination experience.
  • Proven team lead experience (supervising drivers/operations staff) and strong on-site stakeholder communication.
  • Practical proficiency with TMS/GPS systems and advanced Excel for routing, scheduling and daily reporting.
  • Strong decision-making under pressure, good local traffic knowledge, and a focus on meeting SLAs/KPIs.

Preferred

  • Experience with transport management software, basic data analysis or exposure to route-optimization tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, operations, or a related discipline is advantageous.
