Job Title: Software Tester Location: Visakhapatnam Job Summary: We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The role involves manual and/or automated testing of web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality product delivery. The ideal candidate should have a passion for quality, strong testing skills, and the ability to identify software bugs and usability issues. Key Responsibilities: Testing & Execution Analyze user requirements and design test cases based on specifications. Perform manual or automated testing for functionality, usability, and regression. Execute different types of testing: Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and UAT. Identify, log, and track bugs in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Retest and verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after changes. Documentation & Reporting Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data. Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs. Prepare test summary reports and communicate test results to stakeholders. Collaboration Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI teams. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile teams. Support the QA team in implementing test automation (if applicable). Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 0–3 years of experience in software testing (manual, automation, or both). Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Familiarity with test case and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Preferred Skills (Optional but a Plus): Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium). Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST-assured. Knowledge of scripting languages - Java script. Knowledge of Programming languages- java , C # , python. Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries. Familiarity with version control tools like Git. Soft Skills: High attention to detail and strong observational skills. Good communication and teamwork. Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
