About the Role

Test Engineer

You will be involved in the end-to-end testing lifecycle—from test plan creation to execution, defect logging, and report generation. This role demands strong fundamentals in testing methodologies, electronics, and embedded systems, as well as the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand system and customer requirements to develop test strategies
• Create detailed and traceable test cases covering functional, negative, and boundary conditions
• Develop and maintain

  Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM)

  for each product
• Execute automated and manual tests using MATLAB and other test tools
• Integrate and test ECUs, VCUs, BMS, and power electronics components
• Analyze CAN messages, signal values, and diagnostic responses during test runs
• Conduct end-to-end validation of energy systems, chargers, and subsystems
• Record test results, identify issues, and collaborate with development teams for defect resolution
• Document test evidence, photographs, block diagrams, and logs
• Generate professional

  test reports

  summarizing results, coverage, and defects
• Support internal audits, customer reviews, and certification-related testing as needed
• Ensure traceability from requirement to test case to defect and report

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of

  testing fundamentals

• Good understanding of

  electronics fundamentals

  : voltage, current, circuits, power flow

• Experience in

  ECU / VCU integration and testing

• Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency with tools such as MATLAB, Excel, and logging/analysis tools
• Exposure to embedded systems and controller validation is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related discipline
• 2–4 years of experience in validation, system testing, or embedded test engineering
• Experience with EV components like chargers, BMS, DC-DC converters is desirable
• Familiarity with automated testing tools or platforms (such as MATLAB, NI TestStand, etc.)
• Understanding of test standards and methodologies (ISO 26262, ISTQB, INCOSE, etc.)
