Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will be responsible for driving sales, distribution, and market share of the company’s products across Thrissur to Kasargod region. The role involves managing distributors, retailers, sales officers, and ensuring secondary and tertiary sales growth while maintaining strong trade relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Distribution
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Ensure effective distribution network across Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargod.
  • Drive numeric and weighted distribution by appointing and managing distributors/stockists.
  • Market Development
  • Expand retail penetration, increase visibility, and ensure proper product placement.
  • Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and channel partners.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and share inputs with management.
  • Team Management
  • Lead and motivate sales officers, executives, and field staff in the region.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure effective field execution.
  • Monitor sales team performance and ensure disciplined market working.
  • Trade & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
  • Negotiate trade schemes, offers, and incentives to drive sales.
  • Ensure timely collections and manage outstanding receivables.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports, market feedback, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company’s sales policies, pricing guidelines, and promotional campaigns.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of FMCG sales, distribution network, and channel management in Kerala.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Leadership qualities with ability to manage field sales teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to track sales data and identify gaps.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing or related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in FMCG / Edible Oil / Food Products sales.
  • Proven track record in distributor handling and territory management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
