Job Description

Job Title: District Sales Officer / Executive (Cement Industry)Department: Sales & Marketing Reports to: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Officer Head Purpose of the Position:To plan and monitor district-level sales operations, ensure adherence to the company’s credit policies, promote focus/thrust brands, and maximize sales and collections. To effectively service customer needs, manage dealer pricing (retail and wholesale), oversee warehouse operations, expand the retail network, engage with end customers and influencers, and execute sales promotion initiatives. Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:Achieve targeted sales volumes and maintain EBITDA as per business goals. Gather and report actionable market insights and competitor intelligence. Generate new demand and identify growth opportunities in the assigned territory. Appoint and manage new dealers, ensuring alignment with company strategies. Define dealer-specific credit limits, regularly review and revise in coordination with ASM/RSO Head/Unit Head. Ensure timely supply and logistics coordination for smooth delivery to customers and dealers. Monitor and maintain competitive yet profitable wholesale and retail dealer pricing. Sustain and enhance price premium through strategic market engagement. Promote cost-effective supply linkages and optimize transportation routes where applicable. Facilitate reconciliation of outstanding receivables and collect balance confirmations from dealers. Compile, analyze, and present competitor strategies and market trends. Supervise and manage efficient warehouse operations. Conduct regular market representation studies and analysis. Lead brand-building efforts by promoting thrust brands as per the marketing calendar. Undertake routine market visits and submit reports to Branch Office/RMO. Control costs and optimize Total Delivered Cost (TDC). Monitor C&F (Carrying & Forwarding) agents and coordinate with channel partners effectively. Expand and strengthen the retail network and engage directly with end customers. Desired Candidate Profile:Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in cement/FMCG/building materials industry preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in managing sales targets and distribution channels. Familiarity with rural and semi-urban market dynamics is a plus.
