Job Description

Job Title: District Sales Manager (Cement Division) Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Officer / Unit Head Purpose of the Position:To plan and monitor district-level sales activities, ensuring adherence to the company's credit policy, promotion of thrust brands, and achievement of sales and collection targets. To ensure effective servicing of customer needs, monitor dealer pricing, manage warehouse operations, expand retail networks, interact with key influencers and end users, and execute sales promotion activities. Key Stakeholders:Individual House Builders (IHBs) Contractors Dealer Network Carrying & Forwarding (C&F) Agents Key Deliverables / Responsibilities:Achieve targeted sales volumes and EBITDA margins. Gather and report market insights and competitor intelligence. Generate new demand and business opportunities. Appoint and onboard new dealers as per market potential. Set and regularly review dealer-wise credit limits in coordination with the ASM/RSO Head/Unit Head. Ensure timely supply and delivery of cement to customers and dealers. Monitor wholesale and retail pricing across the dealer network. Ensure price premiums are maintained and justified. Promote the most cost-effective and economical supply linkages. Facilitate timely reconciliation of sundry debtors and obtain balance confirmations. Analyze competitor strategies and compile market intelligence reports. Oversee efficient warehouse operations and stock management. Study and improve market representation and penetration. Promote thrust brands and implement brand-building activities as per approved plans. Conduct regular market visits and submit actionable reports to the Branch Office/RMO. Optimize Total Delivered Cost (TDC) and ensure overall cost control. Monitor C&F agent activities and maintain effective coordination with all channel partners. Develop and strengthen the retail network and maintain strong relationships with end users. Qualifications and Requirements:Graduate (preferably in Business, Marketing, or related field); MBA preferred Minimum [X] years of experience in cement or building materials sales Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools Willingness to travel extensively within the district
