Job Description

Job Title: Techno Functional Finance Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Techno Functional Finance professional with a strong blend of finance domain knowledge and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between finance operations and IT systems, ensuring smooth integration, configuration, and enhancement of financial applications to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between Finance teams and IT to analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Configure and customize finance-related ERP modules (such as SAP FICO, Oracle Financials, etc.) to support business processes.
  • Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of financial applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
  • Perform data analysis, troubleshoot system issues, and propose improvements for efficiency.
  • Lead or support system upgrades, patches, and integration activities with other enterprise systems.
  • Prepare functional specifications and assist technical teams in solution implementation.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on finance systems and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies through system configurations.
  • Participate in project planning, status meetings, and provide regular updates to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in techno-functional roles in finance domain.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP FICO, Oracle Financials, or similar).
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot finance modules.
  • Understanding of integration technologies like APIs, middleware, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in requirement gathering, gap analysis, and documentation.
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with both business and technical teams.
  • Experience in Agile or other software development methodologies is a plus.
