About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and technically adept Scrum Master to lead Agile software development teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile best practices, and the ability to work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

Lead Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Drive sprint execution and delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
Collaborate with Product Owners, managers, directors, SMEs and lead engineers to refine and prioritize the backlog.
Guide estimation, capacity planning, and technical grooming using Agile frameworks.
Remove impediments and resolve cross-functional blockers.
Conduct root cause analysis and promote continuous improvement.
Maintain transparency through Jira and Confluence dashboards and reports.
Track team metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput) and use insights to optimize performance.
Ensure alignment with product goals, technical strategy, and architectural guidelines.
Foster collaboration across engineering, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
Support team maturity by coaching Agile principles, promoting self-organization, and encouraging innovation.
Communicate status, dependencies, and risks effectively to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of SDLC, microservices, CI/CD, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Proficient in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and experienced in driving Agile metrics.
Certified Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org or similar is preferred)
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
Experience with test automation and quality-focused delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development projects.
2+ years prior technical experience (dev/engineering) is strongly preferred.
