Technical Scrum Master

You will report to the Senior Product Manager and work closely with our Engineering team and the Associate Product Manager. Your job is two-fold:

1. Process

   : Run the daily logistics of the sprint (Stand-ups, Zoho/JIRA board management) to keep the engineers focused on coding. Coordinate with Product Managers to understand the acceptance criteria of tasks and then create/manage the tickets accordingly.

2. Quality

   : Act as the first line of technical validation. You don't just ask if a ticket is done; you test it, verify the logic, and catch bugs before they reach production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sprint Coordination & Board Management

• Daily Execution:

  Facilitate daily stand-ups and ensure they are short, sharp, and focused on unblocking the team.

• Zoho Ownership:

  You are the owner of the Zoho board. Ensure that every ticket has the correct status, assigned owner, and updated comments. You will chase people down if tickets are stalled.

• Reporting:

  Track sprint progress daily and alert the Senior Product Manager immediately if the sprint goals look at risk.

2. Hands-on Testing & Validation (Technical)

• Feature Verification:

  Before a ticket is marked "Ready for Production," you must manually test functionality to ensure it meets the Acceptance Criteria.

• Bug Triage:

  Reproduce reported bugs to confirm they are valid before assigning them to developers. You should provide clear "Steps to Reproduce" and screenshots.

• Browser-Based Diagnostics:

  Proficient in using Browser Developer Tools (Network Tab, Console, Inspect Element) to investigate issues. You identify whether a bug is a Frontend interface error or a Backend API failure (checking HTTP status codes, payload responses, and load times).

• Collaborative Debugging

  : For deep-root analysis, you partner effectively with developers. You provide them with precise technical context (logs, screenshots of the network error) and pair with them to validate data persistence or complex logic flows when necessary.

3. Documentation & Release Support

• Maintain accurate documentation in Confluence regarding sprint releases and known issues.
• Assist the Product Manager in preparing Release Notes by confirming exactly which features passed testing.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Experience

• 2–3 Years of total experience.

• Must have previous experience working within an Agile/Scrum team.

• Must have a background in Testing (QA) or Development

Technical Skills

• Zoho/JIRA Proficiency:

  You must know how to configure boards, run searches, and manage workflows.

• Testing Logic:

  Ability to write and execute test cases. You understand "Happy Path" vs. "Edge Case" testing.

• Diagnostic Tools:

  Proficiency with Browser Developer Tools (Inspect Element, Network Tab) to monitor API calls, inspect request/response payloads, and identify HTTP status errors (4xx vs 5xx) before creating tickets.

• Office/Communication:

  Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets and Confluence for tracking metrics.
