About the Role

Technical Functional Manager

Key Responsibilities

Team & Delivery Management

  • Lead and manage

    large technical & functional teams

    across multiple projects.
  • Ensure delivery of all modules within committed timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Conduct daily stand-ups, task allocation, sprint planning, and workload balancing.
  • Track team performance and ensure accountability across all delivery streams.

Project & Functional Oversight

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications and technical tasks.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, UI/UX, DevOps, and client teams for smooth execution.
  • Drive requirement gathering sessions, functional reviews, and change management.
  • Monitor risks, blockers, and dependencies with proactive resolution.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for clients.
  • Present progress updates, demos, and delivery milestones.
  • Manage expectations and ensure high client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality, Process & Documentation

  • Implement SDLC processes, documentation standards, and delivery frameworks.
  • Ensure proper documentation: BRDs, FRDs, SRS, user stories, workflows, test cases, etc.
  • Conduct functional testing, UAT coordination, and sign-off processes.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure time-bound delivery schedules with precise execution.
  • Optimize team productivity through structured processes, reviews, and escalations.
  • Identify automation opportunities, improvements, and process gaps.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience

    in IT project delivery, functional management, or technical program management.
  • Strong experience managing

    large cross-functional teams

    (15–50 members).
  • Solid understanding of web applications, APIs, databases, and modern technology stacks.
  • Hands-on experience with

    SDLC, Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, JIRA/Trello, requirement documentation

    .
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, time-bound delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder and client communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Government/Enterprise IT projects.
  • Knowledge of security standards, integrations, cloud, and architecture fundamentals.
  • Exposure to QA processes, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
