Responsibilities
As a Technical Specialist 2, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management and administration of the organization's badging program. This position will serve as a technical escalation point and solutions developer for credential related efforts. There is an expectation to resolve badging printing outages and issues in a timely manner, test new badge related technology, and support general badge printing operations.
Responsibilities:

- On-premesis support for physical badge printing (travel as required)
- Quality assurance of printed badges to ensure consistency of badge prints
- Facilitate and manage logistics of badging related material and printed badges to their intended destinations
- Deploy firmware and other software upgrades as required and directed by the engineering team
- Maintenance of production badge printers to include cleaning, refills, and troubleshooting
- Creating and maintaining client badge designs and layouts- Manage user badging data in a secured manner
- Provide timely progressive updates on work completed for project or operational related work
- Troubleshoot and implement corrections for hardware and application issues associated with badge printers
- Perform and support the development of standards and operating policies and procedures
- Deploy new printers for existing and new badge offices- Review, reccomend, and perform system and process optimization where application
- Coordinate with relevant departments to gather necessary information and documentation- Create, manage, and update training documentation.
Qualifications
Key Requirements:
Position / Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems or
- Associates with 6+ years of experience
- Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
- 3+ Years experience managing multiple physical security software/hardware products such as Video Surveillance, Keybox, Access, Control, Badge printing, etc.
- 3+ Years Experience with interfacing with vendors, clients, and other subject matter experts over matters such as system upgrades, bugs, and features
- 2+ Years experience specifically working with hardware and software associated with printing badges (credentials) used for access control.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years Experience working with CCURE
- Experience working with Fargo HID Printersw
