Responsibilities

Cross connecting patch panels; installing hardware and other equipment
Assisting senior network engineers to identify and resolve network security issues
Researching new technologies in order to support analysis of existing systems
Documenting network problems and resolution for future reference
Bidding and pricing network related projects with senior engineers

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) B.S. and 0+ Years of Relevant Experience

Required Working Knowledge

Network + Firewalls and VPN solutions Cisco routers and switches of various models
Must be able to configure wireless devices

Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX,
Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, SNMP, STP, DNS

Familiar with operating systems such as Unix and Microsoft

Additional Qualifications

Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical skills, time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.

Abilities

Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
