Job description BlockExcel creates exceptional products and addresses complex software challenges. We seek a skilled and experienced MERN Stack developer to join our dynamic product team. As a MERN Stack engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable web applications using the MERN technology stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.jsr, and Node.js), and providing technical guidance to development teams to ensure projects adhere to best practices and design principles across both frontend and backend components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Experience Required: 2 to 3 years Current Notice Period should be max. 30days Responsibilities: Define and implement the overall system architecture for web applications, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements Improve the structure, quality, and extensibility of code bases. Implement tools and best practices. Create reusable libraries and frameworks. Act as subject matter expert and contribute to the server centre of excellence Work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Accurately estimate the level of effort Discover and evaluate new tools and technology partners Build breadth across multiple tech stacks Understand enterprise application design framework and processes. Write high-quality, extensible, testable code. Participate in planning activities and provide accurate story estimates. Conduct code reviews and act as a role model on the team. Proactively break down work, identify risks, and explore solutions. Ability to look at the big picture. Required Skills: Must be experienced in building scalable applications. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Express.js, NodeJS, Next.js, Angular or React. Experience with Services Cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and best architecture practices Be highly capable in Javascript, Typescript, Sequelize ORM, Redux, Tailwind and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience in DBMS, NOSQL/ SQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB Experience in Elasticsearch, Redis and Memcached. Experience in version control tools like Git. Provisioning DevOps tooling and CI/CD. Using containerization systems like Docker or Kubernetes. Designing APIs consumed by many mobile, PDAs or web applications. Good knowledge on authentication, authorization and security technologies. Employing strong TDD and performance optimization strategies Should be able to manage client requirement and strong communication skills. Strong team leadership skills (helping lead the team's work), problem-solving skills and influence the technical direction for the team. Preferred experience includes: Experience in ecommerce product development. Experience with monitoring and performance analytics tools (Datadog, NewRelic, Loggly, Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc. ). Building server applications using several different open-source stacks. Using BaaS providers like Firebase or Heroku. Integrating third-party systems: CRM, CMS, shopping carts, and payments. Broad architectural knowledge and experience: serverless, microservices, traditional server-based (monolithic) services. System monitoring and security design, and implementations.
