Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    Responsible for purchasing of spares / consumables / Capital Assets, Making of Annual Maintenance Contract & Annual Rate Contract. Developing and implementing best purchasing practices in procurement and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Accountabilities and KPIs (8-10 key activities / decisions for which this role is accountable ) No. Key Accountabilities 1. Purchasing of spares / consumables / Capital Assets / Fuel / Oil / Lubricants 2. Preparation of Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) & Annual Rate Contract(ARC) 3. Arrangement of Custom clearance for all import spares 4. Preparation of Rate for Quotation (RFQ) and sent to vendor for offer, making Comparative statement with last purchased price, Negotiation with vendors 5. Preparing e-NFA, PO with all terms & conditions in SAP and after approval send to vendor 6. New vendor development for competitive price & quality work 7. Timely arranging the material as per user requirement 8. Follow-up with vendor to ensure delivery time as per Purchase Order and payment to suppliers on time 9. Introduce vendor prequalification system, Quality Assurance Plan programme in procurement process through ARIBA 10 Competencies Competencies Proficiency Level (1-4) A. Qualifications and Experience


    Experience & Educational Requirements EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required) BE/ B.Tech( Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics), MBA- Material Management(Desirable) RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) 5-10 years in Mechanized port or in similar industry
