Job Goal
- To identify and develop a capable supplier base for the upcoming sourcing requirements of the organization as per AOP/ Business Plans
- To ensure satisfactory performance of suppliers on overall cost, desired quality, on time delivery, capacity, NPD considering the increasing requirements of the organization YOY
- To set processes which will drive the sourcing function to new heights to meet targets of future growth on revenue and profitability.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Survey, identify & Shortlist potential suppliers (Visit / Review & Audit of Supplier capabilities) (Analysis / Monitor Purchase data.)
- Develop parts locally - Localization.
- Supplier de-risking & consolidation
- Process optimization to drive cost effectiveness in supply chain.
- Product development and approval with new suppliers
- Finalize Tooling cost for parts to be developed locally
- Optimize part cost through ZBC and TCO
Routine Activities
- To ensure availability of strong supplier base to cater to all manufacturing locations, new product programs (CCPM ) , technology upgradations and supplier contacts.
- Ensuring deliverables for development of parts as per CCPM time line.
- Keep the interest of suppliers high through allocation of appropriate product mix & business growth.
- Consolidate suppliers where the situation so demands.
- Develop the suppliers at locations where they are required to reduce the logistic effort which also will minimize the inventory and space.
- Continuous analysis of potential “Make vs Buy”
- Development of people

- Strategic sourcing of Automotive Tier 1 and Teir 2 Supplier base (India & Abroad),
- Hands on experience on different commodities, Spend analysis, RM changes, Tooling industry knowledge
- Manufacturing processes exposure – Plastic Molding /Sheet Metal / Rubber Molding / PDC
- Quality system IATF 16949
- Deep understanding of TCO & tool costing
- Understanding of cost drivers in SCM

EXPERIENCE

Qualification
B.E Mechanical / Production/ Automobile, Post graduation / Diploma in material management / sourcing preferred.
