Team Lead - Application Support

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Management

    :
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
    • Collaborate with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and solutions.
    • Negotiate contracts, manage performance, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  2. Application Management

    :
    • Lead the management and support of business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to define application requirements, ensure solutions meet business needs, and align with overall IT strategy.
    • Oversee application upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
    • Manage incident resolution and user support for applications.
  3. Business Connectivity

    :
    • Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals.
    • Work with business leaders to identify needs and propose IT solutions tha enhance business processes and performance.
    • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ensure business teams are fully supported with the necessary IT tools and applications to drive efficiency.
  4. Project Leadership

    :
    • Lead IT application-related projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop detailed project plans.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  5. Process Optimization & Compliance

    :
    • Ensure that IT processes related to application support and vendor management follow industry best practices.
    • Establish and enforce policies and procedures to maintain application security, compliance, and governance.

Skills Required-

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus
  • Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Strong background in business engagement and translating business needs into IT solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IT applications, systems integration, and software lifecycle management.
  • Excellent vendor relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Banking domain applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern IT infrastructure.
