Job Description

Engineering System Manager


Industry: Oil & Gas | Offshore


Location: Chennai


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate latest engineering software & industry enhancements, recommend adoption.
  • Coordinate with discipline heads to optimize software access, licensing & budgets.
  • Lead system administrators & 3D coordinators for troubleshooting & standardization.
  • Drive automation & digital initiatives (including Digital Twin) to reduce man-hours.
  • Ensure software upgrades, validation, and records are maintained.
  • Collaborate with IT & project teams to provide hardware, network & operational support.
  • Prepare departmental & training budgets, set KPIs, and monitor performance.

Requirements:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Engineering discipline (Management qualification preferred).
  • 15+ years’ experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas projects with EPC contractors/consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering & design software.
  • Proven experience in software budgeting, costing, and implementation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication & cross-disciplinary coordination skills.
