Job Description

· Design and implement software and hardware solutions for ATM systems, including radar systems, flight data processing, communication networks and interfacing with external subsystems.

· Develop system architectures for air traffic surveillance systems.

Ensure compliance with international aviation standards (e.g., system safety and security standard, ICAO, EUROCONTROL, EASA).· Integrate ATM components and systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability.

· Conduct system validation, verification and performance testing in simulated and operational environments, including system acceptance testing in factory and on site (FAT/SAT).

Planning of own technical works included dependencies of others (product development, subcontractors, other team members both in same office as other offices in other countries), risks analyses and feedback for improvements.· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure operational continuity 24/7, 365 days a year.

Optimize ATM systems to improve efficiency, capacity, security and safety.· Work with stakeholders, including air traffic controllers and customer technical staff, to gather requirements and provide solutions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as software developers, product managers, network engineers, security experts, safety analysts, subcontractors and external System Suppliers (both in the same office and in other countries).· Prepare and maintain documentation, including technical design specifications, user manuals and test plans.

Ensure systems adhere to regulatory and safety requirements.· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

· Strong understanding of air traffic management concepts and systems.

· Knowledge of and/or experience with radar, ADS-B, GPS, MLAT and other ATM technologies.

· Knowledge of software development languages, scripting like Bash, Python, C++, Java and tools for modelling and simulation like MATLAB, Simulink and in general Linux systems.

· Familiarity with networking and communication protocols used in ATM.

· Certification in System Engineering: Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Networking and Cyber security is a plus.

· Certification in ATSEP is a plus.

Familiarity with agile frameworks and lean principles that improve productivity and iterative development is a plus.· Proficiency in systems engineering processes, including requirements analysis and system lifecycle management.

· Proficiency in programming (Bash, Python, C++, Java) and tools for simulation (MATLAB, Simulink) and in general Linux systems.

· Expertise in systems engineering processes, requirements analysis and lifecycle management.

· Communication fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to work with the following tools: Jira, MS Office, AutoCAD, GIT/SVN.

· Compliance with aviation safety and regulatory standards.

Reporting and Documentation skills.· Operating in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

· Managing technical dependencies across multiple teams and international locations:

o Ensuring Software parts, external suppliers, subcontractors, subsystems and customer deliveries are ready in time.

· Ensuring seamless integration of ATM systems with existing infrastructure.

· Troubleshooting system issues under high-pressure operational conditions.

· Identifying and mitigating risks associated with system failures.

Balancing regulatory compliance with technological innovation.· High level of interaction with internal teams, customers, subcontractors and external system suppliers.

Requires strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.· Regular communication with international teams and customers.

· Frequent reporting on system performance, test results and compliance.

Collaboration-driven communication ensuring scope adherence and system approval.· Work is performed in both office settings and operational environments.

· Some work is conducted in high-security areas within aviation facilities.

· This position requires in average 25% of the time travelling to customers sites (globally, long distances) or other offices including travelling/ working in evening, nights and weekends (multiple weeks away from home).

· This position carries a high level of responsibility in safety-critical situations and requires engineers to perform under time pressure in sometimes specific circumstances like working at night and in different time zones.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹335,950.66 - ₹900,000.00 per year
