Support Engineer

.We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Support Engineer to join a fast-paced, customer-focused team. In this role, you will provide high-quality support for complex telecom and software systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for clients across diverse environments. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, third-party vendors, and customers to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance mission-critical applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, containerized platforms, and large-scale databases, contributing directly to service excellence and customer satisfaction. You will also support ongoing product transformation initiatives and participate in agile projects, making a tangible impact on operational success.
Accountabilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd level remote and on-site support for assigned customer systems
- Manage service requests and incidents according to SLAs, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with customers
- Install, upgrade, and test software products, including troubleshooting infrastructure and platform-related issues
- Perform proactive system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Liaise with R&D, professional services, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Monitor and track R&D projects to ensure supportability and readiness of solutions for live deployments
- Advise customers on product features, functions, and interfaces, delivering an excellent user experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
- 4-5 years of experience supporting Telecom OSS domain applications, Unix/Linux/Solaris platforms, and SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, ElasticSearch)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective fixes
- Knowledge of containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/RHEL OpenShift) and cloud services (AWS, GCloud, Azure; AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact professionally with customers and internal teams
- Structured, organized, and proactive work approach, with strong multitasking and time management abilities
- Bonus: exposure to DevOps environments, IoT platforms, or modern cloud computing architectures
